The Manhattan Beach Badminton Club (MBBC) was founded in 1936 with the objectives of playing and promoting the sport of Badminton, participating in social functions and encouraging community social gatherings. It retains its Member Ownership structure with a strong culture of Member involvement and participation. The MBBC is governed by a Board of Directors and depends on Members to manage the day-to-day running and maintenance of the facility.
Facilities include badminton courts, pool and jacuzzi, BBQ and picnic area, lounge and kitchen, playground and yard, and locker and shower facilities. The Club allows limited use by outside organizations.
Both National and International competitive tournaments as well as Club Member tournaments are held on a regular basis.
